Rosemary with over 22 years in the industry,  has had a passion for hair since a very early age….practising and learning on friends an family long before entering the Industry.

After attending university for a visual arts degree, she decided it was time to pursue  her true passion, and channel her creative energies into hair.

Right out of school she was hired by MAC Cosmetics, to apprentice in their hair salon at head office.  It was there,  that she was first exposed to cutting edge fashion and style. She had an opportunity to train under some of Toronto’s most  talented, respected and renownd stylists and was part of a team that introduced her to editorial, and runway work,including several toronto and New York fashion weeks as well as countless other designer shows, videos, and photographic work and commercials.

Although she finds this kind of work inspiring, her first love is working on clients in the salon.  Over the last twenty years she’s built and maintained a very loyal clientele, many of whom have become friends.  “great hair goes hand in hand with understanding what your clients want and need, building  a relationship with good communication and trust are key”

Rosemary specializes in   cutting and styling.  She has a very culturally  diverse clientele, and an even more diverse array of hair texture ranging from very fine, to very coarse.  Straight to super curly, and afro hair.   “I love sexy hair, with movement and texture.  When a client leaves my chair, they feel like the best version of themselves”

Yvan Richard is a colour technician with over 30 years’ experience in the hair and fashion industry, working in salons throughout Toronto as well as editorial and fashion shows in Toronto and New York.   Yvan’s philosophy has always focused on natural looking, healthy hair with colour that enhances your own natural tones.   His impeccable eye for colour is evident in his passion for gardening and growing orchids.

I enjoy finding inspiration in anything and everything, be it the way the light hits a leaf at a particular time of day or gallery painting that will leave me wondering how the master was able to capture the emotion and detail.

As faces are my canvas I am very lucky to live in the city of Toronto with it’s magnitude of diversity. The fact that every face is truly unique absolutely keeps my love for my craft at such a high level.

Be it High Fashion with it’s intensity or having Private Clients feel fabulous, I love the variety. The feeling of fulfillment when pulling ideas together to create a vision, executing it to the client and my satisfaction is a great driving force.

Prior to my Freelance Career taking off I spent many years as a Retail Artist and Manager for the Toronto founded company MAC Cosmetics (now part of the Estee Lauder Family ). It was at MAC where I honed my skills working on a multitude of complections.

With dedication and taking every opportunity I could, I spent time getting certified and continuous training through MAC to able me to partake in Fashion Shows, Print Work, Body Painting and Trainings, then the rest of the work followed.

As a part-time Educator at George Brown College’s School of Make-up and Esthetics, I pass on my knowledge to the future Make-up Artist that are enrolled in Professional Make-up Artistry 1, 2 , Business of Make-up and Hair Styling for Make-up Artist.

Makeup artistry has been my passion for more than 20 years.  I am a highly creative and dynamic teacher who has inspired and groomed some of Toronto’s most talented artists, while personally having beautified more than 20,000 faces to date. I specialize in airbrush artistry; I have 15 years experience working in television with a focus on health, wellness & fitness commercials.
